General: MyProfileWriter.com is designed to allow users to create profiles for posting on personals sites, subject to the restrictions defined in our Terms of Service.

Information that we do NOT request: We think that the best way to protect your online privacy is to limit the type of information that we request from you. Accordingly, when you use our site, we do NOT ask for your name, address, phone number, Social Security number, or financial information.

Please note that we will contact you only if you sign up for one of our newsletters; we will NOT contact you otherwise. We do NOT spam.

Your e-mail address		We will use your e-mail address to: (1) send your profile to you via e-mail, only if you choose that option; (2) contact you only if you sign up for one of our newsletters. We will never sell, rent, lease, share, loan, or trade your e-mail address with any company or other site.

Standard log information about your computer, such as your type of browser, IP (Internet Protocol) address, and server.		We may use it to optimize how our site displays on your computer. We may also use this information in the general administration of our web site and its policies as specified in the Terms of Service.

Cookie information		We use cookies* for only one purpose: to assist in sending your profile to you via e-mail if you choose that option. Otherwise, no cookie is set. Our cookies expire 48 hours after they are created, so that you can return to this site to complete other sections of your profile and have the results e-mailed to you if you didn't complete your profile the first day. A note about dating safety . . . and not the usual canned warning, either!

I take dating safety very seriously because my father was killed because he participated in online dating. Briefly, here is the story. He thought that he was going to meet an attractive woman. Instead, he was set up by two men, one of whom apparently distracted him while the other clubbed him from behind, crushing his skull. The thugs dumped his body in a swamp, where it was discovered ten days later. The police said the motive for the murder was to steal his truck, which they sold—obviously, these two Neanderthals were so stupid they did not realize that automobiles are easily traceable via their vehicle identification numbers (VIN). My Dad was smart, a US Army veteran skilled with firearms, and two of his many jobs were being a private investigator and later a soldier of fortune when he was a colonel in the Honduran Army. So if he can be killed during a date gone awry, it isn't surprising that naive, gullible, and overly trusting young women can fall victim to predators. I realize that one cannot live a full life without taking some risks, but please be careful.
